During the month of August, other training sessions will be held for legal professionals from the judicial departments of Montecristi and Nagua.
The Judicial Branch announced that around 801 lawyers were trained in the training and technological empowerment program "Yo me apunto a la virtualidad" at national level, which aims to build a justice system that is accessible, inclusive and guarantees the dignity and rights of individuals.
The "I'm on board with virtuality" program was created with the aim of creating the capacity to manage platforms for legal professionals who have limitations in the use of and access to computer tools.
The program seeks to ensure the continuity of the justice service in the midst of the pandemic, preventing the least possible exposure among judicial servers and service users.
These different forms of access to justice, both face-to-face and virtual, have brought about important changes in the daily work of judicial servants at all levels of assistance.
These transformations must not become a barrier, but rather a catalyst to guarantee access to justice for all.
This objective is aligned with axes 1 and 2 of the Institutional Strategic Plan "Visión Justicia 20|24", related to "Justice for all" and "Timely and efficient judicial service".
During the month of August, other training sessions will be held for legal professionals from the judicial departments of Montecristi and Nagua.
The training is thanks to an alliance with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), several of the universities that teach law, such as the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Universidad APEC, Universidad Federico Henríquez y Carvajal (UFHEC) and Universidad Católica del Cibao (UCATECI), and the companies Claro and Centro Especializado de Computadoras (CECOMSA), who guarantee connectivity and access to technological equipment.
