Judicial Council

The Judicial Power Council is the constitutional body of administration and discipline of the Judicial Power of the Dominican Republic, it directs and administers all aspects of budgetary, financial and administrative management of the Judicial Power, as well as the Judicial Career System and the Judicial Administrative Career. In the exercise of its powers as the highest disciplinary body of the Judicial Branch, it is responsible for determining the level of responsibility and applying the corresponding sanctions to the judges of the Judicial Branch, with the exception of the judges of the Supreme Court of Justice, for the commission of misconduct in the exercise of their functions, as well as the officials and employees of the Judicial Branch (Arts. 2 and 3 of Law No. 28-11, Organic Law of the Judicial Branch Council).
