The presiding judge of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Henry Molina, revealed that, within the process of transformation of the Judicial Power, the courts in arrears decreased from 70% to 46% throughout the country, and that the same was eradicated in the SCJ.
Molina offered this information during the unveiling ceremony of the plaque of the Palace of Justice of Bonao, designated by the National Congress through Law 7-23 with the name "Doctor Pedro Eusebio Romero Confesor", former judge of the SCJ.
He assured that the Judicial Branch is immersed in the deepest transformation process in its history, focused on solving the problems of the justice administration system.
"We are aware that this reform, that current of policies that has judges, judges and judicial servants as protagonists, is also a way of honoring that legacy of contributions of great men who have served justice in the past, such as Don Pedro Romero Confesor. He is an example of respectable public participation, a worthy Dominican whose existence deserves to be remembered," said Magistrate Molina.
He said that this change also bears fruit in the incorporation of digital systems that increase access, transparency and traceability of processes. Likewise, in the improvement of the conditions of the courts, which have gradually been adapted.
He explained that the integrity and transparency systems have been revised, as well as the career and career ladder systems, so that they operate under adequate and rational criteria, making meritocracy possible as a guarantee of independence within the justice system.
He indicated that all this has borne fruit in terms of higher quality of service, which has also been a priority in this transformation process.
Tribute to Pedro Romero Confessor

Speaking at the ceremony in honor of Pedro Romero Confesor, Henry Molina highlighted the integrity and commitment of the now deceased judge to justice, virtues that he said made him an emblematic figure in his community and the country.
He described the former judge of the SCJ and former legal advisor to the Executive Branch as a remarkable Dominican, whose homage will remain for posterity in the Palace of Justice of Bonao, while recognizing his contribution to justice, to his province and to the Dominican legal community.
"Today, in this act of gratitude, we highlight the importance of celebrating those who have made public service in justice their north. And with it those who leave a mark for the benefit of coexistence. It is, on the one hand, a commitment that invites us to continue his legacy and to extend it, deepening in the search for the continuous improvement of justice," said Henry Molina when referring to the late jurist.
The words of thanks were given by attorney Paola Romero, daughter of the honoree, who indicated that this is a great gesture on the part of the congressmen and the Judiciary in the person of its president Henry Molina, "it is something that fills us with a high personal honor".
