CPJ approves the Judicial Branch Telework Policy

About the Judiciary

An implementation process will be carried out internally and with the communication channels in conjunction with the National School of the Judiciary (ENJ), in addition to the continuation of training for the correct implementation of this measure.

The Judicial Power Council (CPJ) approved during its Ordinary Session No. 002-2021 the Telework Policy of the Judicial Power for judges, judges and judicial servants in the country.
This policy, which was put in consultation in December last year by means of Act 047-2020, aims to establish the general guidelines governing telework in the jurisdictional and administrative area of the institution at the national level.
This includes two modalities; one is full-time, which is compatible with those positions whose functions do not require a permanent presence or that such results are generated with digital inputs using information systems or collaborative tools, or if a person presents any health condition that may be considered of vulnerability to high-risk situations.
The other modality is part-time, which is compatible for those positions whose functions demand certain tasks that require great concentration in order to avoid distractions in the office, or require a percentage of tasks that demand face-to-face work due to the nature of the position.
In addition, the total teleworking hours will be the same as those established in the face-to-face working day, except for the Permanent Attention Offices that work 24 hours in different shifts every day (including holidays).
With this teleworking policy, the Judiciary will establish the parameters of this modality that began in May 2020 with the approval of the first teleworking guide, launched at the beginning of the pandemic.
