Legislative Agenda Committee of the SCJ Plenary and Senate Justice Committee hold meeting

The Legislative Agenda Committee of the Plenary of the Supreme Court of Justice met with representatives of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of the Senate of the Republic in order to discuss legislative initiatives of interest to the Judicial Branch and requests for opinions presented by said committee. Likewise, the need to define coordination mechanisms to advance in the knowledge of the different reform projects in the judicial area was also raised.

During the meeting led by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice, Luis Henry Molina Peña and Senator Antonio Taveras, president of the Senate Justice Committee, the plan for the transformation of the justice system, achievements and other initiatives of the Judicial Branch for 2022 were also presented.

The activity was attended by senators Aris Yván Lorenzo (Elías Piña); Santiago José Zorrilla (El Seibo); Dionis Sánchez Carrasco (Perdernales); and José del Castillo Saviñón (Barahona). The Commission's technical staff included Edgar García, Jaime Luis Rodríguez, Sandra Castillo, Minorka Rijo and Máximo Domínguez.

Representing the Judicial Branch were Napoleon Estevez, judge of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice; Rafael Vasquez Goico, judge of the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice; Cesar Garcia, general secretary of the Supreme Court of Justice; Javier Cabreja, general coordinator of Communications and Public Affairs; Rosaura Quiñones, director of Public Policy Analysis; Ricardo Noboa, national director of Title Registry; Wilmer Espinosa, legal manager of the Management Center Directorate and Moisés Jáquez, executive coordinator of Transformation Projects.
