During the Red Mass, Durán Tineo valued the work carried out by the justice system and called on the people to continue acting prudently and not to be the justice system and called to continue acting with prudence and not to be pressured by the processes that are aired in the public opinion.
The red mass is so called because of the color of the vestments used by the celebrants and the color of the fire, symbol of the Holy Spirit. It has been celebrated since 1953, in different countries around the world, and is a festivity traditionally attended by judges, lawyers, professors and law students who ask God's blessing for a good administration of justice.
Afterwards, the authorities of the Judicial Branch laid a wreath at the Altar of the Homeland.
The event was led by the President of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Judicial Council, Luis Henry Molina Peña, as well as judges of the Supreme Court of Justice, Judicial Councilors, presiding judges of chambers, representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Public Defense, as well as judicial servants.
The commemoration of Judicial Branch Day is carried out in accordance with the Judicial Career Law No. 327-98.
